Tasting Notes
Delicate pale pink with a soft, playful spritz, this Moscato is all florals, pink citrus and fresh grape charm. Pink grapefruit, mandarin, rosewater and blood orange sit over Turkish delight, cinnamon and a little bubble-gum lift. The palate is sweet, light-bodied and softly fizzy, but it finishes with a savoury freshness that stops it from becoming cloying.
Winemaking
Sweet Pea is made in the Moscato tradition from Muscat à Petits Grains, also known in this vineyard as “Red Fronti”. The fruit spends a short time on skins to capture its pretty pink colour, then is pressed and handled like a white wine. Fermentation is chilled and stopped early, preserving natural grape sweetness and leaving a gentle frizzante spritz in the bottle.
Vineyard & Vintage
The fruit comes from the Bosworth family’s certified organic McLaren Vale vineyard, with the 2025 release sitting at just 7.0% ABV. Muscat à Petits Grains is intensely aromatic, and in this single-vineyard organic expression it brings rosewater, pink citrus, fresh grape and floral lift. The light alcohol, sweet middle palate and gentle bubbles make it best enjoyed young and well chilled.
Why We Love It
This is a Moscato with brightness and charm rather than sugary heaviness. The pink grapefruit, mandarin and rosewater aromatics are instantly pretty, while the savoury finish gives the wine more balance than many sweeter styles. It is low in alcohol, certified organic, vegan suitable and perfect for brunch, fruit desserts, cheese plates or a refreshing summer spritz.
Food Pairing
Sweet Pea Moscato works beautifully with salty brunch dishes, fresh fruit, soft cheeses and lightly sweet desserts. The gentle sweetness also handles chilli, citrus and ginger, while the bubbles keep the palate bright.

Cellaring

Producer
Spring Seed Wine Co is part of the Bosworth family’s McLaren Vale wine story, based at 92 Gaffney Road in Willunga. The vineyard was established in the early 1970s by Peter and Anthea Bosworth and is now run by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith. Joch began converting the vineyard to organic viticulture in 1995, and the vines have been certified organic since 1999. Spring Seed’s labels are inspired by vintage flower seed packets, with Sweet Pea carrying the range’s bright, floral, garden-party personality.

FAQ
What does Spring Seed Sweet Pea Moscato 2025 taste like?
It tastes floral, grapey and lightly sparkling, with pink grapefruit, mandarin, rosewater, blood orange, Turkish delight and a tiny bubble-gum note. The palate is sweet through the middle, light-bodied and gently fizzy. A savoury finish keeps it fresher than a heavy dessert wine.
Is this Moscato sweet or dry?
This is a sweet, low-alcohol Moscato made by stopping fermentation early to retain natural grape sweetness. The sweetness is clear, but citrus and a savoury finish keep the wine balanced. It is best for drinkers who enjoy aromatic, gently sweet sparkling wines.
What is the body, acidity and bubble style like?
The body is light and the bubbles are gentle, more frizzante than full sparkling. Acidity is moderate and fresh, helping balance the rosewater, citrus and grape sweetness. The wine is easy to drink chilled, especially with brunch or fruit desserts.
Does this wine contain preservatives or sulphites?
This is a certified organic Moscato, not a No Added Preservative wine. It may contain sulphites, as most wines do, and organic wines are made to lower allowable sulphur limits than conventional wines. It is certified organic and vegan suitable.
How should I serve Spring Seed Sweet Pea Moscato?
Serve very well chilled at around 5–7°C. A flute will keep the gentle spritz lively, while a white wine glass will show more rosewater, grapefruit and mandarin aroma. No decanting is needed.
What food pairs well with this Moscato?
It pairs beautifully with smoked salmon brunch dishes, fruit platters, berry desserts, pavlova, soft cheeses and lightly spicy Asian-style snacks. The sweetness works with chilli and fruit, while the bubbles refresh richer brunch foods. For a vegetarian match, try berry pavlova or a soft cheese plate with fresh grapes.
Can this wine be cellared?
This Moscato is best enjoyed young while the floral, grapey and citrus characters are fresh. Drink now to 2027 for the brightest pink grapefruit, rosewater and mandarin notes. Store it somewhere cool and dark, away from heat.
Is Spring Seed Sweet Pea Moscato vegan friendly?
Yes, this wine is vegan suitable. It is also certified organic and made from the Bosworth family’s McLaren Vale vineyard. It is a lovely option for celebrations, brunches and shared tables where a lower-alcohol sweet sparkling is welcome.
Who will enjoy this wine the most?
This is ideal for drinkers who enjoy Moscato, sweet sparkling wine, floral aromatics and lower-alcohol bottles. If you like rosewater, Turkish delight, pink grapefruit or gently fizzy sparkling wine, this will suit you well. It is much sweeter and lighter than Prosecco or dry sparkling rosé.
Is this wine keto friendly?
This is a sweet Moscato, so it is not the best choice for strict keto drinkers. The appeal is its low alcohol, floral aromatics and gentle fizz rather than a bone-dry sugar profile. Customers seeking keto-friendly sparkling should choose a drier Brut style.
