Orange Wine

What is Orange Wine?

It's not a Red or a White or a Rose...it's an Orange. Yes you read correctly, an Orange wine, which is a white wine made a bit like a red wine. Orange wines are are made by leaving the skins & seeds of the white grapes in contact with the juice during fermentation. Hence phenolics and colour is extracted from the skins, giving the end product an orange hue and some tannin and bitterness on the palate. These are intresting wines with quite bold flavours and match well with a variety of cuisines including Moroccan, African and Asian.
