WINE STYLE → Bright & crunchy

A pale, dry, certified organic McLaren Vale rosé made from early-picked Shiraz, with strawberry, watermelon rind, ginger and refreshing red fruits. Morning Bride is crisp, light-bodied and made for chilled, easy drinking, but it still has enough savoury shape for charcuterie, mild cheeses, crab salad and caramelised onion tart. Tasting Notes

Pale pink with a rose-gold hue, this rosé opens with strawberries, watermelon rind and a hint of ginger. The palate is dry, light-bodied and crisp, showing refreshing red fruits, strawberry tops and a small toffee-apple lift from the producer’s own note. Lively natural acidity keeps the finish clean and bright, making it an easy aperitif as well as a versatile food wine.

Winemaking

Morning Bride is made from Shiraz grapes picked early from Spring Seed’s Chanticleer block at around 10–11 degrees Baumé. The fruit is hurried to the winery, destemmed and pressed quickly with no skin contact, so the wine keeps its pale pink colour rather than becoming deeply coloured. It is fermented like a white wine in chilled stainless steel, with no oak and no malolactic fermentation, preserving crisp acidity and fresh red-fruit detail.

Vineyard & Vintage

The fruit comes from the Chanticleer block in the Bosworth family’s certified organic McLaren Vale vineyard, grown on free-draining stony loams. The 2025 Morning Bride was picked on 10 February 2025 and bottled on 15 May 2025. It is 12.5% ABV, dry, with approximately 2 g/L residual sugar and less than 1 gram of sugar per 100mL.

Why We Love It

This is a charming rosé with proper freshness: pale colour, strawberry and watermelon lift, a dry finish and enough acidity to work beautifully with food. It is organic, vegan suitable and relaxed without being plain. The southern French inspiration is there, but the Shiraz fruit gives it a distinctly McLaren Vale brightness.

Food Pairing

With strawberry, watermelon rind, ginger and crisp acidity, this rosé suits salty, savoury and lightly sweet dishes. It is lovely with charcuterie, crab salad, mild cheese, caramelised onion tart, prawns, summer salads and Mediterranean vegetables.

Mood or occasion to match this wine…

Pour it for long lunches, spring picnics, cheese boards, seafood starters or a chilled glass while dinner is still coming together. It is pretty, crisp and quietly joyful without tipping into sweetness.

Cellaring

Drink now to 2027 while the strawberry, watermelon rind and lively acidity are fresh. Rosé is usually most appealing in its youth, especially when the style is pale, dry and aromatic. Store it cool and dark, and serve well chilled.

Producer

Spring Seed Wine Co is part of the Bosworth family’s McLaren Vale wine story, based at 92 Gaffney Road in Willunga. The vineyard was established in the early 1970s by Peter and Anthea Bosworth and is now run by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith. Joch began converting the vineyard to organic viticulture in 1995, and the vines are fully certified A-grade organic by Australian Certified Organic. Spring Seed’s labels are inspired by vintage flower seed packets, matching the wines’ fresh, approachable and organically grown character.

FAQ

What does Spring Seed Morning Bride Rose 2025 taste like?

It tastes dry, pale and refreshing, with strawberries, watermelon rind, ginger and fresh red fruits. The palate is light-bodied and crisp, with lively acidity and a clean finish. It is fruit-bright rather than sweet.

Is this rosé dry or sweet?

This is a dry rosé, with approximately 2 g/L residual sugar and less than 1 gram of sugar per 100mL. The strawberry and watermelon notes give fruit charm, but the finish is crisp. It is a good choice for drinkers who prefer rosé with freshness rather than obvious sweetness.

What is the body and acidity like?

The body is light, with a clean and refreshing palate. Acidity is lively and natural, which suits the early-picked Shiraz style. That acidity is what makes the wine so useful with cheese, crab salad, charcuterie and caramelised onion tart.

Does this wine contain preservatives or sulphites?

This is a certified organic rosé, not a No Added Preservative wine. It may contain sulphites, as most wines do, and organic wines are made to lower allowable sulphur limits than conventional wines. It is certified organic and vegan suitable.

How should I serve Spring Seed Morning Bride Rose?

Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C in a white wine or rosé glass. No decanting is needed. If the bottle is very cold, give it a few minutes in the glass so the strawberry, watermelon and ginger aromatics can open.

What food pairs well with this wine?

It pairs beautifully with charcuterie, mild cheeses, crab salad, pissaladière, prawns, tomato salads, grilled vegetables and soft goat’s cheese. The red-fruit freshness suits salty foods, while the acidity works well with citrus, herbs and creamy textures. For a vegetarian match, try caramelised onion tart or goat’s cheese and beetroot tart.

Can this rosé be cellared?

This wine is best enjoyed young while the colour, aromatics and acidity are at their freshest. Drink now to 2027 for the brightest strawberry and watermelon rind notes. Store it somewhere cool, dark and stable.

Is Spring Seed Morning Bride Rose vegan friendly?

Yes, this wine is vegan suitable. It is also certified organic and made from the Bosworth family’s McLaren Vale vineyard. It is a lovely choice for shared tables, picnics and warm-weather entertaining.

Who will enjoy this rosé the most?

This is ideal for drinkers who enjoy pale, dry rosé with strawberry, watermelon and crisp acidity. If you like Provence-style rosé, lighter Shiraz rosé or fresh organic rosé wine, this will suit you well. It is lighter and drier than sweeter pink wines.

Is this wine keto friendly?

Yes, this is a dry, low-sugar rosé with approximately 2 g/L residual sugar and less than 1 gram of sugar per 100mL. It can suit many keto-conscious drinkers looking for an organic rosé. Alcohol still contributes calories, so enjoy it mindfully as part of your broader plan.
