Temple Bruer Riesling 2018

VINEYARD: 2015 was an ideal vintage for Eden Valley Riesling. It was a dry and moderate to hot summer with very low disease pressure. Picking was conducted in the cool hours of early morning on the 28th February 2015.
WINEMAKING: Picking started early in the day to allow the fruit to arrive at the winery with a cool temperature. This technique helps to slow down any detrimental eff ects at picking such as oxidation of the juice, which is important to retain freshness in Riesling. The grapes were crushed, chilled, drained and then pressed immediately. Only the free-run juice was used in this wine. After a period of cold settling the juice was racked and inoculated with yeast. The fermentation continued for fi ve weeks. After fermentation was completed the wine was then stabilised and bottled on the 25th October 2015.
COLOUR Pale straw, with a green hue.
AROMA Intense citrus blossom, lemon curd and pineapple.
FLAVOUR A light palate with a crisp lemon and lime lift, the citrus fl avours are carried with a balance and length, fi nishing with a hint of stone fruit.
CELLAR POTENTIAL Drink now, or cellar for up to 10 years.
