Tasting Notes
Rosina Rosé 2025 opens with fresh summer berries, rose florals, lime cordial, watermelon and musk candy. The palate is light and juicy, carrying bright fruit with real freshness. Crunchy acidity keeps the wine lively, while a hint of natural grape residual sweetness rounds the palate slightly without making it feel sugary. A touch of citrus pith adds extra detail and length. Overall, it is a clean, luminous rosé with enough fruit to charm and enough acidity to keep it precise.
Winemaking
The current product page does not go into detailed cellar method, but the style is clearly built around preserving brightness, fragrance and purity of fruit. Shiraz and Grenache are used to bring both berry lift and a little palate generosity, while the final impression stays crisp and immediate rather than textural or structured.
Vineyard & Vintage
The current release is 2025 from the Kalleske estate in the Barossa Valley. The blend of Shiraz and Grenache suits the warm Barossa setting well, giving bright red-fruit expression without excessive weight. The live page presents Rosina as a highly refreshing rosé with balanced acidity, a little natural residual sweetness and a long finish, which fits the style of a modern, fruit-led estate rosé designed for current drinking.
Why We Love It
This is a very easy rosé to like because it gets the balance right. The fruit is generous, the acidity is bright and the touch of sweetness is only there to soften the line rather than dominate it. It works as an uncomplicated summer bottle, but it is made cleanly enough to stay useful at the table as well.
Food Pairing
The light body and bright fruit make Rosina a versatile match for salads, seafood, picnic food and lightly spiced dishes. It also works well with simple snacks and shared plates where freshness matters more than weight. Try matching this wine with →

Mood or occasion to match this wine…
A very good choice for warm afternoons, long lunches, shared snacks and the first bottle on the table when you want something bright and easy to pour.
Cellaring
This is best enjoyed young while the fruit and freshness are at their most vivid. It is built for current drinking rather than extended cellaring.
Producer
Kalleske is a seventh-generation family estate at Greenock in the Barossa Valley, farming continuously since 1853. The vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, and all fruit is estate grown. While Kalleske is best known for structured reds, Rosina shows the lighter side of the estate with the same farming credibility behind it. The wine draws on Shiraz and Grenache grown on the family farm and is made to show freshness, immediacy and drinkability while still reflecting the Barossa setting and the estate’s vineyard-led approach.

FAQ
What does Kalleske Rosina Rosé taste like?
It shows summer berries, rose florals, lime cordial, watermelon and musk candy, with bright fruit through the palate. The wine is light, juicy and refreshing, with crunchy acidity and a long finish.
Is this rosé dry?
It sits around dry to just off-dry. There is a hint of natural residual sweetness, but the acidity and citrus pith keep the finish fresh rather than obviously sweet.
How full-bodied is it?
This is a light-bodied rosé. It has enough fruit to carry flavour, but the overall impression stays lively and easy-drinking.
Does it need decanting?
No. This wine is made to be served fresh from the bottle while the fruit and acidity are bright.
What temperature and glassware work best?
Serve it cold, around 7–9°C, in a medium white wine or rosé glass. That keeps the fruit crisp and the acidity lifted.
Can this wine be cellared?
It is best enjoyed young. Rosina is built for freshness and immediate drinking rather than long-term development.
Does this wine contain preservatives or sulphites?
It is not a No Added Preservative wine, so it does contain sulphites. Some occur naturally during fermentation, and certified organic and biodynamic wines are made under lower permitted sulphite levels than conventional wines.
Is this wine vegan friendly?
Yes, it is listed as vegan suitable. It is also certified organic and certified biodynamic.
What food works best with this wine?
It works well with prawns, salads, salmon, picnic food and lighter Mediterranean-style dishes. Fresh, bright food is the natural match.
Who is this wine likely to suit?
It will suit drinkers who enjoy fresh, fruit-led rosé with brightness and easy drinkability. If you like rosé with clear berry fruit and clean acidity rather than a savoury or heavily structured style, this is a strong fit.
