Angove Naturalis Organic Rosé 2025: Tasting Notes
WINE STYLE → Berry-Pretty Rosé with Lime Zing
This is the kind of organic Rosé that disappears quickly once it hits the table. Made from organically grown Shiraz with a dash of Sauvignon Blanc for extra lift, it’s all light blush colour, strawberry-and-blueberry charm, and a neat little lime zing that keeps the finish crisp and refreshing. The fruit comes from Angove’s certified organic Nanya Vineyard near Paringa, where warm days build flavour and cool nights help lock in freshness.

Taste Profile
Tasting Notes
Light blush in the glass, this Rosé opens with fresh strawberry and blueberry, then a little citrus flick – think lime zest rather than sweet lime cordial. The palate is full-flavoured yet easy and bright, with juicy red-berry fruit up front and a crisp, refreshing finish that keeps you coming back. It sits in the off-dry range, but it still feels clean and tidy thanks to that lively acidity and the Sauvignon Blanc lift.
Winemaking
Organic Shiraz grapes are picked in early February with good flavour ripeness and plenty of crunchy acidity. After a short period on skins, the lightly pink juice is gently extracted and transferred to cooled tanks. Fermentation begins after settling to remove heavy solids, then once dry the wine is racked off lees and finished with a dash of fresh organic Sauvignon Blanc to add extra zing. Minimal handling, then filtration and bottling at Angove’s certified organic winery.
Vineyard & Vintage
The Shiraz (95%) and Sauvignon Blanc (5%) grapes are grown in Angove’s certified organic Nanya Vineyard near Paringa, South Australia. Free-draining loam over limestone soils, abundant sunlight, warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for flavour-packed grapes with natural freshness. Angove treat the vineyard as a holistic system, farming without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilisers or non-organic inputs.
Why We Love It
Because it delivers exactly what great Rosé should: pretty berry fruit, real refreshment, and a finish that stays crisp (not cloying). The little Sauvignon Blanc lift is the secret weapon here – it keeps the whole wine feeling bright and energetic.
Food Pairing
This Rosé loves salty, savoury and slurpy dishes – especially anything with a bit of crunch, soy, ginger or chilli. It’s also a brilliant partner for salmon, where the berry fruit and acidity make the richness taste even better.
