WINERY TASTING NOTES

Aroma/Palate
A textured flavour with clean and lifted lime/lemongrass citrus fruit. An easy drinking style with refreshing structure and feel on the palate. The acid finishes clean with good length and a small amount of residual sweetness fills the palate out.

The fruit for this wine has selected from the largest organic vineyard in the Hunter Valley. A lovely blend of Verdelho and Semillon.

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night to reduce oxidation and retain natural flavours. The fruit was crushed & pressed before day light and then allowed to cold settle for 2 days. Fermentation was carried out by a neutral yeast to allow the natural fruit flavours to develop and show through in the resultant wine. The finished wine has been gently fined with all natural products.

Zalinga Estate is a boutique family owned winery in the Hunter Valley, with their target market mainly being China and Asia. The Zalinga winemaking team includes Liz Jackson and Greg Silkman, both of them individual Trophy winning winemakers who excel at their craft.
