Rich red in colour the aroma is of ripe dark berries and mocha. Sweet fruit and hints of spicy pepper on the palate with a hints of vanilla from the subtle integrated oak.
Fermentation took place in stainless steel with a quarter of the wine then spending six months in French oak barrels, while the balance remained on lees in tank. The result is an earthy Rhone-like red supported by overtones of white pepper and spice.
