Tasting Notes from the Winery for Twisted Sticks Organic Shiraz 2019

Winery: The Winery is an A.O.C Certified Organic Winemaker and Bottler. This ensures the quality control process and organic status of the fruit and wine is maintained from the vineyard to the bottle. The wine shows an abundance of generous fruit characters and has soft, yet full-bodied flavours that linger. Oak maturation has further complexed the wine, adding a supporting rather than a dominating role.

Vineyard Region: 100% Riverland, South Australia

Grape Varieties: 100% Organically Certified Shiraz

Vintage Conditions: The 2019 growing season delivered a cool ripening season with some warm periods prior to harvest, thus retaining natural acidity, yet developing rich flavours consistent with our style. As a result, budburst was later than usual yet developed early canopy and produced healthy shoot and continual growth.

Colour: Deep garnet red with an inky edge.

Nose: The bouquet has lifted black pepper and herb, with blueberry overtones. Oak maturation has added a cashew nut influence that adds to the sweet berry aromas.

Palate: This is a full structured, well rounded red wine of immense quality. The flavours of blueberries and mulberries are intense and are complemented with soft vanillin characters.
