Tasting Notes for Twisted Sticks Organic Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 from the Winery

Winery: The winery is an A.O.C Certified Organic Winemaker and bottler. This ensures the quality control process and organic status of the fruit and wine is maintained from the vineyard to the bottle. The fruit quality was exceptional and extended fermentation on skins has produced a wine of great colour and depth of flavour with fine tannins. Oak maturation has further added complexity giving the wine the capacity for bottle maturation.

Vineyard Region: 100% Riverland, South Australia

Grape Varieties: 100% Organically Certified Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage Conditions: With extended cooler conditions throughout the 2019 growing season, the result was early canopy development yet delayed but strong budburst. Healthy growth continued and with sporadic warmer periods towards the end of vintage guaranteed the ripening completion.

Colour: Colour is deep brick red with violet hues.

Nose: This wine has intense aromas of blackberries and cassis greet you followed by a subtle cedary oak sweetness.

Palate: An abundance of ripe dark berry initially persists on the tongue with hints of earthiness and cigar box characters coming through and ending with rich deep tannins. Laboratory Analysis Alc/Vol : 14.0%
