Tasting Notes for The Hero Preservative Free Rose 2025 from the Winery

Freshly bottled and bursting with elegant strawberries and cream aromatics, this is everything you want from a blushing style of Rosé. It's brightly fruited with flavours of blood orange, pink grapefruit and fresh picked mulberries. Best served in good company, poolside with a cheese board.

Summary

The Hero wines are hand-crafted from the best quality fruit sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, including McLaren Vale and the Barossa. With meticulous handling in the vineyard and winery, the pristine fruit will have less exposure to anything harmful that may normally require the addition of preservatives. Our wines are crafted to be brightly coloured, exotically fragrant, full-flavoured and critically, they sing without the addition of preservatives. Perfectly suited to many cuisines, these wines are also crafted to ensure they are suitable for Vegans.

Winemaking

Healthy and problem free fruit is selected in the vineyard and then picked in the cool of the night and then rushed to the nearby winery for a fast and focused vinification. Fermentation is cool in a closed static fermenter before a short maturation on lees and bottling. The resultant wine is then consigned to large steel tanks (charmat method) where the wine undergoes steady carbonation and sealed under cork.
