Winery/Brand: Temple Bruer
Warm cherry and blackberry fruit aromas are enhanced by soft vanilla & cinammon characters on the nose. The palate is big and full, yet soft with many attractive flavours, from wild berries, cherries, vanilla & coconut to earthy characters . . . a captivating wine of great finesse and complexity, with long-term cellaring potential.
The Story
Open fermentation followed by maturation in American oak. This wine was not cold stabilised and may develop a crust on ageing.
James Halliday's Top 101 Wines 2005, 93 points
“Plum, mulberry, herbs and spice run through the bouquet and strongly structured palate, supported by a nice touch of sweet oak and ripe tannins.”
