This is an outstanding Australian Chardonnay by any measure, so a real treat for Preservative free wine buyers, as it has no sulphur dioxide added. Possible the best preservative free white I've ever tasted.
Made by John Nagorcka of Hochkirch from John's sister's neighbouring Tarrington Vineyard. Grown using biodynamic practices it resembles a top quality French Chablis. Get power, texture and length.
A nose of stonefruit and vanilla oak, the palate is creamy and generous with crisp apple and nougat hints and a minerally character. It is a fresh and vibrant wine that will keep you interested for many hours.
Made by Hochkirch from their neighboring property. The vines are dry farmed (no irrigation) and no synthetic fungicides, pesticides or fertilisers are used.
VINTAGE 2017 graced us with a stunning vintage—and didn't this grower make the most of it. The cooler Henty vintage resulted in high, crisp acidities, bringing the stability to allow John to make a number of cuvées with no additions at all, and just a smidge of SO2 for the rest.

Long slow fermentation, natural yeasts, no filtration, minimal intervention and additives. Vineyard is high-density planted and dry farmed.
