ALMOND – LEMON – TEXTURAL
This Veneto grown, organic and vegan-certified Pinot Grigio was cool fermented in stainless steel with extended contact on lees, giving a nutty richness to its aromatics. Notes of lemon rind, toasted almonds, golden apple on the nose follow on the palate with savoury green olive, haybale, walnut, and lush, creamy texture.
Tasting Notes for Settimo Podere Pinot Grigio 2020 from the Winery
Straw yellow color. Fruity-scented wine with evident hints of toasted almonds, dry hay and walnut husk. Velvety, soft wine, with balanced acidity.
Classic white vinification. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in thermo-conditioned steel tanks. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the yeasts for an adequate period, to extrapolate the best aromas.
Alcohol: 12% vol.
Residual sugar: around 2 gr/lt
Total acidity: around 5.2 gr/lt
So2: 100 mg/lt
Serving temperature: to be served at 10°C-12°C
Food pairing: interesting aperitif. Excellent with light first and second courses, with aromatic herbs omelets, with vegetable soups, chickpea and zucchini cream and with vegan sushi.
