Tasting Notes for Organic Sakura Sauvignon Blanc 2024 from the Winery

Nose: Cut grass, peas and limes

Palate: The palate of this Sauvignon Blanc bursts with fresh, zesty vibrance, echoing the lively energy of springtime. Distinctive notes of cut grass lend a crisp herbal edge, while lime imparts bright citrus tang that dances across the tongue. A subtle underpinning of wet stone and minerality grounds the wine, offering depth and a sense of place

Food Pairing: Soft cheese, chicken curries, and spicy dishes

Vintage Notes: The 2023–24 growing season in the Central Ranges commenced with average temperatures and rainfall conditions. Yields were reduced following a frost on October 28, 2023. Higher-than-average rainfall during December allowed for good canopy growth and berry size. The mild December and January 2024, coupled with lower -thanaverage yields, led to the harvest commencing two weeks earlier than the long-term average.
