Rosnay’s first Reserve White. Equal amounts of Chardonnay and Semillon, matured on lees in a combination of old and new french oak. A refined, complex and elegant white wine, named after Florence’s mother, Dolly Dulong de Rosnay.
Fruit is selected parcels of Chardonnay and Semillon picked at the optimum possible ripeness for full fruit flavour but also natural acidity. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels.
"My grandmother, Dolly, never let us forget that she was a rally driver in her youth in France and Switzerland – a passion for racing sports that exemplified her zest for life. Dolly was a fashion designer in Lyon before moving to Australia in the 1970s. She was the fourth generation living with our family at Rosnay. Her father Alberic had a small vineyard in the Beaujolais, so Dolly was never short of advice about how to run our vineyard at Canowindra.
Her many qualities always inspired our family – her optimism enthusiasm, self-reliance and generosity. The wine, the first reserve white, was mature it on lee's with French oak and underwent malolactic fermentation for a creamy texture and length. It is dedicated to my "Grand Mere" Sam Statham
