This unusual, tasty, biodynamic white has forced me to reassess Robinvale, a winery which I’ve found rather underwhelming in the past. Kerner is a crossing of riesling and the obscure German grape trollinger. This example smells like a very ripe riesling - almost tropical, pineappley - and tastes viognier-like, rich and creamy in the mouth."
