This wine is delightfully scented with ripe dark fruit aromas including plums and cherries. The palate has good depth, and a soft velvety structure with subtle sweet oak.
The Story
Review of previous vintage by James Halliday, June 2003. Top of the class is the 2002 Demeter No Preservatives Cabernets (87 points, $20), a blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, ruby cabernet and merlot. The ripe, dark fruit aromas show no signs of aldehydes; the palate has good depth, and a soft velvety structure. It is at its peak now: drink it, don't cellar it.
