Dense dark red in colour with rich red blackberry fruit on the nose. The palate is rich and smooth with good oak integration.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from Lewison Wine Estates near Swan Hill. This winery is now fully certified as A grade organic, and was "Organic In Conversion" for the 2004 vintage. The wine was skillfully made by the folk at Hayward's of Locksley. After 7 days fermentation the wine was transferred to French oak barrels (50% new and 50% old) and slow barrel fermentation continued for several months. The wine was bottled after 12 months oak maturation.
