The fruit was grown in the Murrindindi ranges, a really cool climate region where ripening takes place about two weeks later than our Yarra Valley vineyard. Small batch fermentation was followed by barrel maturation for eight months. The resulting wine is dense black cherry/purple colour. The aroma shows subtle new oak complemented by ripe fruit with hints of cassis, cherry and plum. The palate is for flavoured with subtle oak and a very good tannin structure which will ensure the wines cellaring ability
