This is a wine of welcome restraint, displaying aromas of lifted citrus and gooseberry. The palate is juicy, filling the cheeks with passionfruit, grape spice, and pine lime notes, finishing with a touch of mineral acidity.
Miracle on the Wire
Nature is a very curious and amazing thing and as vineyard owners in the Central Ranges wine district of New South Wales, we are constantly surprised how our vines can perform each year in such stressful conditions, with little to no rain.
The extensive vineyard is Certified Organic, and adopts natural, sustainable, farming practices to ensure vigorous growth of the grapevines, optimal flavour and character in each varietal we produce.
‘Miracle on the Wire’ refers to the tiny bunches of grapes that form on our vines each year, as well as the sighting of a Blue Wren perched up on the wires of our Zeal Vineyard, as this is usually a sign of coming rain and good fortune.
