Apperance: Pale straw

Bouquet: Delicate aromas of freshly sliced green apple with a citrus lift

Palate: This is a wine of beautiful balance and vibrancy. Displaying apple, pear andcitrus fruit flavours that are clean and crisp on the palate.

Cellaring: A vibrant and refreshing wine to be enjoyed now

Food Pairing: Perfect summer drinking. Excellet with pasta, fresh or cooked seafood's and salads including the popular Cesar salad. Also pairs nicely with Asian cuisine.

Harvest

The grapes were harvested on the 3rd of March 2022. Machine harvested during the cool hours of early morning 2am - 4am.

Vineyard 

At Gulong NSW, in the Central Ranges wine district, we adopt NASSA Certified Organic farming practices, which are the key to maintaining soil health. Our vienyard is not degraded through the constant application of non-degradeable inputs, therefore retaining natural soil health and providing longer-term sustainability to the vineyard. Our vineyard soil types are deeper, fertile red loam over a medium clay with a sprinkle of quartz stone ridges across the block.

The vineyard has drip irrigation installed on each vine row to ensure vine health and consistency of quality. The crop yields are relatively low, producing excellent concentration of fruit flavour. 

Miracle on the Wire

Nature is a very curious and amazing thing and as vineyard owners in the Central Ranges wine district of New South Wales, we are constantly surprised how our vines can perform each year in such stressful conditions, with little to no rain.

The extensive vineyard is Certified Organic, and adopts natural, sustainable, farming practices to ensure vigorous growth of the grapevines, optimal flavour and character in each varietal we produce.

‘Miracle on the Wire’ refers to the tiny bunches of grapes that form on our vines each year, as well as the sighting of a Blue Wren perched up on the wires of our Zeal Vineyard, as this is usually a sign of coming rain and good fortune.
