A bright ruby colour, this is a medium bodied wine that shows great varietal expression with a tight well structured palate. Aromas of red berries and subtle oak. Acidity is balanced with good fruit weight.
A quite cool Autumn set in and slowed maturity to a very late harvest on the 5th April. The grapes were hand picked on a morning of only 11 degrees by our regular crew of family and locals. A longer ripening has produced a rich and complex Cabernet. The grapes were open fermented and kept in old oak for 18 months before bottling. Cellaring potential 8 years, if you can wait!
