Winery/Brand: Martins Hill
A bright ruby colour, this is a light to medium bodied wine that shows great varietal expression with a tight well structured palate. Aromas of red berries and subtle oak. Acidity is balanced with good fruit weight.
The Story
This vintage, drought-affected and low yielding, has produced a wonderful ruby colour and varietal flavour. The ripening period was warm and dry; the grapes were hand picked by our regular crew of family and locals on March 24, 2006, then traditionally open fermented. Cellaring potential 8 years, if you can wait!
