Vineyard & Winemaking
The grapes are sourced from organic vineyards in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough. Being organic, the grapes build up a naturalresistance to the elements. This producesthick skins where much of the flavouris produced. The canopies were open allowing sunshine and a flow of air which is perfect for producing great Pinot Gris. Picked early April and allocated into different parcelsforfermentation allowing a range of componentsfor blending. All components are kept on yeast lees aslong as possible until blending, adding greaterf lavour and softness to the wine. Careful blending with these parcels has produced this wine of interest and complexity. The grapes and wine are certified organic by BioGro New Zealand.
