This now 17-year-old wine has evolved to display still varietal but mature Grenache characters. In colour it is now brick red with tawny hues. It still jumps out the glass with remnant musk and sandalwood along with aged characters of dried fruits and dusty spice. The palate has remained mouth-filling, is velvety smooth with hardly any tannin evident. There are leathery dark fruits and spice and it retains its lengthy finish. The wine is drinking lovely now and will not benefit from further cellaring.
