Tasting notes from the winery for Hero of Zero Sauvignon Blanc 2021

A wine of pristine freshness allowing the crisp Sauvignon Blanc fruit to do the talking. Classic Savvy aromas of cut grass herbaceousness with citrus and passionfruit to the fore and hints of just-shelled peas. The palate is a burst of freshness that jostles vibrant fruit flavours with clean and refreshing acidity. It finishes long and clean and would pair well with a goats cheese salad.

The Hero of Zero wines are hand-crafted from the best quality fruit sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, including McLaren Vale and the Barossa. With meticulous handling in the vineyard and winery, the pristine fruit will have less exposure to anything harmful that may normally require the addition of preservatives. Our wines are crafted to be brightly coloured, exotically fragrant, full-flavoured and critically, they sing without the addition of preservatives. Perfectly suited to many cuisines, these wines are also crafted to ensure they are suitable for Vegans.

WINEMAKING: Healthy and problem free fruit is selected in the vineyard and then picked in the cool of the night and then rushed to the nearby winery for a fast and focused vinification. Fermentation is cool in a closed static fermenter before a short maturation on lees and bottling.
