Carpe Noctem (latin) : Seize the Night
Crimson in colour, on the nose there are seductive aromas of plum and black pepper. The palate shows soft tannins, plums blackberry, leather and spice.

Freehand wines are created using organic/biodynamic grapes; grown with maximum attention, vinified with minimal intervention and no preservatives are added. The vineyard is not certified although the Eastwell family have been practicing organic/biodynamic principles since 2008.

Biodynamic and organic farming. No sulphur used. Un-fined and unfiltered. 24 months in French oak. Stalwarts of this style from Great Southern.
Neatly marries dark plum, bay leaf, gum leaf, touch of mint, all up lively and bright to sniff on. Unadorned fruit flavours, soft and supple, plum, roast tomato, earthiness. Has a really nice ‘raw’ feel to it all. Yummy. Joyous freshness to the feel but laden with spice and savouriness. Thanks.
