Light straw with pale green hues, aromas of white peach, citrus and melon flavours combine with savoury oak on the nose. On the palate the wine has a pleasing texture and good length with a clean finish.
Tasting Notes for Descendants of Arthur Organic Chardonnay
An elegant Organic Chardonnay (certified by SXC) with attractive stone-fruit and grapefruit aromas and flavours with integrated vanillin oak.
The palate has a creamy texture with peach fruit flavours and vanilla bean oak and crisp clean acidity.
In 1855 early settlers Samuel and Jane Arthur from Cornwell in England made the Macaw Creek property their home. Macaw Creek was named after all the colourful native parrots mistakenly thought to be Macaws. Today there are over 5,000 descendant's from the Arthur's of Macaw Creek. Samuel and Jane's Great Great Great Grandson Jack Hooper is one of them.
Jack is an artist with Down Syndrome and has recently started his own business called Artmazing Jacky. This example of Jack's art and humour features his border collie Ruby licking up wine (which she shouldn't) whilst being watched over by a native parrot (Adelaide Rosella) sitting on a wine barrel.
