Dryer and more textural than previous years, the nose hints at sweet berries mixed with an undercurrent of lime and sea spray. The palate opens again with the fruit sweetness, almost raspberry lolly like fruitiness, but is super dry, the acid accentuated by the fine spritz of bubbles, whilst the Lagrein provides a slightly earthy, moreish element. Summer party vibe, but with depth and interest.
A blend of 90% Vermentino and 10% Lagrein, each variety was picked and fermented separately, the final wine was blended and bottled just prior to the Lagrein finishing ferment to create the Petillant Naturel style sparkling. Lighter in pink colour this year, this perennial favourite is, I think, improving each year we make it.

Organically grown, Southern Italian grape varieties from the Riverland, fermented with wild yeast and minimal intervention in the winery.
Delinquente is “delinquent” in Italian, which speaks to our desire to always buck the trend, break rules and do things our way. Sometimes you’ve got to heed the call of the wild child within. Sometimes you’ve got to go home with a bunch of grapes who’re ugly as sin.
