Notes for Cirro Sauvignon Blanc 2022 from the Winery
Appearance: Pale straw with greenish hues, bright and clear.
Nose: Vibrant and expressive aromatics typical of Sauvignon Blanc, with pronounced notes of gooseberry, passionfruit, and freshly cut grass. Undertones of lime zest, green apple, and a touch of elderflower lend complexity and freshness.
Palate: Crisp and zesty on the palate, with a lively acidity that drives the wine’s refreshing character. Flavors of citrus (lemon, grapefruit), green melon, and tropical fruits are balanced by a mineral edge, likely influenced by sustainable vineyard practices. Light-bodied but with good texture and purity.
Finish: Clean, dry, and persistent, with lingering citrus and herbal notes.
The Cirro Organic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is produced by Marlborough based winemaker David Tyney. All grapes are sourced from the family "home block" organic vineyard in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand.
