Winery/Brand: Babich

The nose is subtly perfumed with red current and passionfruit. The palate has a soft and sweet fruited entry nice weight and is finely structured – making it a good food match. Juicy fruits are found on the mid palate and the finish is dry. Should develop nicely in the medium term.

Awards: SILVER MEDAL >> MUNDUSvini BioFach 2010 - Germany

"This crisp, bone-dry wine is certified organic. Minerally, with strong, ripe melon/lime flavours, it is refined and lingering, with obvious potential." 4 STARS >> Winestate Magazine, March 2010

"Certified organic, the 2009 vintage is a bone-dry wine, pale, with gentle, limey aromas. Subtle and restrained in it's infancy, with good fruit sweetness and delicacy, and a slightly minerally streak, it should mature well." >> Michael Cooper's Wine Buyers Guide to New Zealand Wines 2010

"Sourced from a 5ha, fully certified organic block within the Babich Headwaters vineyard, this drop's downright delicious in a softly-softly sort of way. Dandelion and lime aromas are followed by ripe passionfruit flavours in the mouth. It has already scored success in an international organic wine show in Germany and it's easy to see why." >> Yvonne Lorkin, Wine Editor - Dish Magazine Feb 2010

"Refined wine, opening out well with a bit of bottle age, revealing strong, ripe melon/lime flavours, a minerally streak and a long, crisp, bone-dry finish." >> NZ Listener, 10 March 2010

"A ripe and perfumed nose displaying passionfruit, peach and capsicum characters. The palate is lively with crisp apple acidity and a pleasantly drying finish. A nicely rounded Sauvignon with classic flavours." >> WineOrbit.co.nz, Sam Kim, March 2010
