Tasting Notes of Stella Luna 2023 the Winery
Probably the real starting point for our journey down the rabbit hole though Joven has a claim. I first made this wine in response to Japanese visit, food, style, culture, was quite a mind torpedo. It’s about tannin and fruit and acid. I know but really about finish, once those pillowy, soft tannins realise you can understand that all that phaff about fruit and acid doesn’t really count. Colour: Blue purple mid-weight.
Aroma: Cranberries, blueberries with a woody herb background.
Palate: Skips across the palate like a game of hopscotch, juicy, makes me salivate.
Summary: The white wine drinkers red, light, bright and fresh as a new day.
Region: 100% Barossa Valley, South Australia Variety: 60% Cinsault, 40% Shiraz
