Tasting Notes for Organic Sakura Rose 2024 from the Winery

Nose: Strawberry, cherry, boiled lollipops!

Palate: Dry-textural, strawberry, and cream. Soft style and drinkability.

This rosé delights with a dry, textural elegance that lightly grips the palate, creating a tactile experience beyond simple flavor. Notes of fresh strawberry infuse the wine with a juicy brightness, while hints of soft cream round out the profile, lending a subtle richness and indulgent mouthfeel.

Food Pairing: Antipasto, spicy food, or simply enjoyed as a relaxing drink at the end of the day.

Vintage Notes: The 2023-24 growing season in the Central Ranges commenced with average temperature and rainfall conditions. Yields were reduced following a frost on October 28, 2023. Higher-than-average rainfall during December allowed for good canopy growth and berry size. The mild conditions in December and January 2024, coupled with lower-than-average yields, led to the harvest commencing two weeks earlier than the long-term average.
