Tasting Notes
Bright and aromatic with passionfruit, grapefruit, guava, green apple and dried herb notes. The palate is dry and lively, with citrus-led acidity, a fine mineral edge and just enough lees texture to keep it composed. It finishes long, clean and mouth-watering, with tropical fruit and herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc character lingering neatly.
Winemaking
This is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, fermented cool and long in stainless steel to preserve freshness, aromatic purity and varietal lift. After fermentation, the wine spent a short period on lees before stabilising, filtering and bottling. The result is crisp, clean and expressive, with texture sitting quietly beneath the bright Marlborough fruit.
Vineyard & Vintage
The 2024 fruit comes from Marlborough’s Omaka Valley and Waihopai Valley, where alluvial soils and clay help build both aromatic intensity and palate shape. The season began with a very dry winter and early budbreak, followed by strong spring winds, useful rainfall and classic Marlborough ripening conditions: warm days, blue skies and cool nights. Harvest took place in March and April at cool temperatures to protect freshness.
Why We Love It
This is the kind of Sauvignon Blanc that delivers the Marlborough signature without becoming too loud. Passionfruit and citrus are front and centre, but the dried herb, mineral line and dry finish give it polish. It is fresh, organic, vegan and wonderfully easy to pair with the kind of food we actually eat — seafood, herbs, salads, chilli, lime and crisp vegetable dishes.
Food Pairing
The vivid acidity and tropical-herb profile make this a natural match for seafood, fresh herbs, citrus dressings, green vegetables and light spice. It also works beautifully with goat cheese, asparagus, Vietnamese-style herbs and anything with lime or coriander.

Perfect for seafood lunches, warm evenings, a crisp pre-dinner glass or that first bottle opened when everyone arrives with something fresh and herby for the table.
Cellaring
Drink now to 2027 for maximum aromatic lift and crisp Marlborough freshness. Sauvignon Blanc is at its best while the passionfruit, citrus and green-herb notes are bright, so this is more about immediate refreshment than long-term cellaring.
Producer
Momo is the organic-focused, youthful range from Seresin Estate in Marlborough, New Zealand. The name Momo means “offspring” in te reo Māori, reflecting its place as a fresh expression of the Seresin family. The wines are made from organically grown grapes with minimal winemaking intervention, aiming for honest varietal character and clear seasonal expression. Marlborough’s protected valley setting, high sunshine hours, cool growing season and low rainfall help create wines with bright acidity, aromatic lift and natural depth.

FAQ
What does Momo Sauvignon Blanc 2024 taste like?
Momo Sauvignon Blanc 2024 tastes bright, dry and aromatic, with passionfruit, grapefruit, guava, citrus and dried herbs. The palate is light to medium-bodied, crisp and mouth-watering, with a clean mineral finish. It is a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with a more organic, textural edge.
Is this wine sweet or dry?
This wine is dry, with residual sugar listed at 2.1 g/L. The ripe passionfruit and tropical fruit can give a generous fruit impression, but the finish is crisp rather than sweet. High natural acidity keeps the palate fresh and lively.
Is Momo Sauvignon Blanc organic or preservative-free?
This wine is certified organic and vegan suitable. It is not listed as preservative free, and it contains sulphites. For shoppers specifically seeking No Added Preservative wines, choose from the preservative-free range instead.
Does this wine contain sulphites?
Yes, this wine contains sulphites. Most wines contain some naturally occurring sulphites, and many also include added sulphites for freshness and stability. Organic wines generally sit within stricter sulphur limits than conventional wines, but this is not a no-added-sulphur wine.
How should I serve this Sauvignon Blanc?
Serve chilled at around 7–9°C in a standard white wine glass. No decanting is needed; this wine is designed to be opened fresh and enjoyed straight from the bottle. If it is fridge-cold and the aromas seem muted, give it a few minutes in the glass.
What food pairs best with it?
It is excellent with seafood, oysters, prawns, white fish, rice paper rolls, green salads, asparagus, goat cheese and dishes with lime, chilli or coriander. The acidity cuts through creamy or salty elements, while the passionfruit and herb notes work beautifully with fresh Asian-inspired flavours. It is also a lovely match for vegetarian dishes with green herbs and citrus dressing.
How long will it last after opening?
Once opened, reseal the bottle and store it in the fridge. It is best enjoyed within 2–3 days while the aromatics are still bright. A wine stopper or vacuum seal will help preserve its citrus and passionfruit lift.
Can this wine be cellared?
This is best enjoyed young, ideally now to 2027. The main appeal is its vivid fruit, fresh acidity and crisp finish, so there is no need to wait. Good storage will hold it for a short period, but it is not intended as a long-cellaring white.
Is this wine vegan friendly?
Yes, Momo Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is vegan suitable. That means animal-derived fining agents are not used in the finished wine. It is a strong choice for vegan-friendly seafood alternatives, vegetable dishes and fresh herb-based meals.
Who will enjoy this wine most?
This will suit Sauvignon Blanc drinkers who love Marlborough freshness but prefer an organic option with a little more texture and restraint. If you enjoy Cloudy Bay-style Sauvignon, Little Goat Creek organic Sauvignon or crisp Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, grapefruit and herbs, this will be right in your comfort zone. It is also a good pick for anyone moving from conventional Sauvignon Blanc into organic wine.
Is this wine keto friendly?
This wine is dry, with residual sugar listed at 2.1 g/L and less than 1 g of sugar per 100 mL. That makes it a lower-sugar white wine option compared with sweeter styles. As always, suitability depends on individual dietary goals and serving size.
