    Pinot Noir
Delicious and smooth drinking Marlborough Pinot Noir that will work perfectly with your summer barbecues. Earthy aromatics, with well concentrated flavours from sour cherry and plum to smoky oak and herbal, earthy nuances.

Certified organic grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch-pressed before being naturally fermented with wild yeast in old French oak barriques. The wine remained on lees in barrel for 12 months before being blended and lightly filtered before bottling.

Delicious with most red meats, mushroom dishes or hearty fish like salmon. This wine has the potential to improve over the next five years, evolving and developing complexity with bottle age.

‘Offspring’ in Maori, MOMO reflects its heritage as part of the Seresin Estate family - wines grown naturally to express the season and land from which they come.

MOMO wines are made using grapes from Seresin’s three biodynamic vineyards and, for some wines, grapes are also selected from a dedicated grower’s vineyard which is in conversion to organics.

From these roots, MOMO has developed its own identity, embracing traditional winemaking to produce wines which are true to variety and reflect the essence of their fruit characters.

Viticulture
Certified organic fruit was hand-picked with over 80% of the fruit from different sections within our Raupo Creek vineyard, where the soils are rich and clay-based. The remaining portion was selected from the Wairau Valley.

Vintage
A cool start to the year, with some late frosts, but the weather was settled for flowering and fruit set. The summer was warm and very dry, resulting in berries and bunches being smaller than average. Harvest took place in good conditions, resulting in fruit which showed aromatic ripeness as well as a balanced, fresh acidity.

Winemaking
Fruit was hand-picked and destemmed and cooled. After a prefermentation steeping period, the juice was fermented with wild yeast, and the caps hand-plunged daily. The wine was left on skins for 2 weeks of post-ferment maceration, then drained, lightly pressed and transferred to French oak barriques. The wine went through natural malolactic fermentation during 12 months maturation.
