Mercer Wines
Mercer Wines is a progressive brand celebrating sustainable vineyards from all over NSW. Aaron Mercer grew up in the Hunter Valley where he learned a thing or two from legends in the area for over 20 years. With extensive experience working in France, Germany, Canada and California, he is perhaps best known for his previous role with organic powerhouse, Tamburlaine.
He is proud to call the Hunter Valley his home and endeavours to ensure the sustainable future of the Australian Wine Industry. Aaron tells us a bit about his philosophy…
"My personal drive is to improve genuine, sustainable winegrowing in NSW through our actions. Firstly, by encouraging regenerative farming and paying the right price for quality growers. Then, sourcing suitable varieties from each region and continuing to explore those varieties to ensure a healthy future through climate change. Lastly, making wines with a smaller footprint; eg. using domestically produced, mostly recycled, glass or using local facilities.”
Mercer Wines is focused on sustainable wines rediscovering variety and place.
