Gardners Ground Method Traditional Sparkling Chardonnay 2012

  • Certified Organic
In the glass it is clear and brigh with a fine bead. Aromas of citrus apple and some lees complexity. The palate is vibrant with citrus crisp green apple and a creaminess, both in texture and taste. The taste lingers and the finish is dry, inviting you to take another sip.

This wine is made using the "Traditional method", meaning it is fermented in the bottle and the result is added complexity and the fine persistent bead. This method is more costly, so under $30 per bottle is great value. A great appertif to any occasion. Cellaring will reward with some added complexity.

This bottle fermented chardonnay has spent eighteen months on lees to produce a beautiful dry sparkling wine. Using early picked organically grown grapes from the north facing slopes of our vineyard, this sparkling wine exhibits crisp granny smith apple and peach aromas, a delicate creaminess and fine spiralling beads.
