LOXTON AND EDEN VALLEY VINEYARD
This wine was created from grapes grown in Loxton and Eden Valley. The Eden Valley vines are all 20 years old growing in a mix of light sandy loam, with some granite over clay. The Loxton vines are grown in deep red sand over a deep limestone base, a feature prominent in many premium growing regions around the world.

WINEMAKING
The 2014 vintage was moderate in climate with warm ripening days followed by the cool nights often seen at Eden Valley. There was a significant rain event which slowed ripening down during the harvest period. Fruit for this Rose was progressively picked during vintage. The grapes were picked into two parcels, the first was whole berry pressed with fermentation commencing with the inclusion of some solids. The second parcel was crushed, pressed, cold settled and racked prior to fermentation. The Rose colour was enhanced with the inclusion of Shiraz after fermentation.

COLOUR Pink into light red.
AROMA Citrus, lemon, watermelon, cherry.
FLAVOUR Cut pineapple, lime, chalk like texture towards the finish.
