Deep brick red in colour tells you this wine is not a spring chicken. We like to think of it as a bit retro!

The nose exudes intense pepper, red fruits and cherry and cedar (very appealing – like a sauna in a spruce forest). There are also some leathery aged characters. Chocolate and coffee roll over your palate on tasting, chalky tannins with some nutmeg spice round it out.

It will take you longer to get the cork out than it will to drink it, you’ll like it that much!
