Winery/Brand: Krinklewood

A pale salmon pink wine displaying an attractive aroma of mixed berries with citrus and creamy undertones. The palate is crisp and fruit driven with a dry, clean finish. The perfect accompaniment with antipasto, Barbeques & alfresco luncheons.

The Story

The 2008 Mourvedre fruit ripened in good timing with the right pH, fruit flavour & baume. The fruit was picked in the cool of the night at optimum ripeness and was crushed with only the premium free-run juices being used. Fermentation took place in Stainless Steel tanks under cool conditions with minimal acid adjustments and the juice was left to rest for 12hours with the skins. The wine was bottled early to retain freshness of the primary fruit characters with very fine filtration.

“Here’s a rosé that I know Mattinson would like. It’s made from 100% Mourvedre. Pale salmon pink with attractively earthy tones and echoes of cherry and blossom. Dry and grippy with crisp acidity and just enough flavour, but not too much. Love the way it clamps down on the finish. Love the whole effect. This is exactly how I like em." Gary Walsh -
