J & J's Rivers Lane organic vineyard is situated in the heart of McLaren Vale, adjacent to the sites of the earliest vineyards established during the late 1830's. The thin limestone rich soils found here match the good winter rainfalls and the long warm days and short cool nights of a gentle dry maritime summer. The Shiraz wine that is created by this terroir is of intense flavour and deep colour with elegance, structure, power and complexity. Here at Rivers Lane the superb terroir that has made McLaren Vale internationally renowned is equalled by J & J's dedication to organic viticulture and a family tradition of excellence.

Awards & Reviews

James Halliday-95 points
"Convincing colour, a selection of the best grapes is the point of difference between this and the standard wine. Certainly there is more intensity and power, with liquorice, pepper/spice and bitter chocolate wrapped around the heart of cool black fruits, has excellent line and length."-James Halliday-95points.
