The Story

2010 was the fourth outstanding vintage in Margaret River and this applied to both red and white varieties. During November 2009, there was good rainfall, which helped carry the vines through some hot weather in subsequent months. Furthermore, the combination of careful shoot and foliage trimming, and the numerous benefits of biodynamic viticulture, resulted in an increase in yields, but without any loss of quality. The high quality of the Malbec fruit which comprised about 50% of the blend, together with the inclusion of Petit Verdot and Merlot, and the judicious use of oak, have resulted in the production of a most attractive red wine.
